Admission Policy

  1. Admission to Christ Raja Convent School is done by a committee consisting of the Principal/Headmistress and two other sisters deputed by the Local Community. The final decision will remain with the Principal/Headmistress who admits students to the school.
  2. Nursery: Eligible Students (as per given age criteria for Nursery i.e. children between 3-4 years) are selected on the basis of the time from the following categories by preference:
    • Catholics, in particular of the Parish.
    • Children of Staff members and Christian students of the neighborhood.
    • Children of the neighborhood and fixed number of siblings of the students studying in school.
    • Children of parents who are open to the value system we stand for.
    • In all these categories, preferential option is for the marginalized.
    • Care is taken to ensure that the enrolment of the new students reflects a mixture of religious faiths and ethnic background.
  3. New admission to different classes is subject to the vacancies in each class in the month of February after the Annual results are declared. Pupils applying for admission are as a rule, subject to an entrance examination held at the beginning of the academic year. They will be assessed for the standard below the one to which they seek admission.
  4. No third party is entertained in negotiations for admissions. Pressures are resisted firmly and politely. Any attempt to use influence for recommendations for admission will lead to disqualification.
  5. No donations are accepted by the school authorities.
  6. The school does not charge capitation Fees.
  7. Please do not request a meeting with the Principal or other school staff to clarify the issues or any questions that you may have regarding the Admission Process.
  8. Preliminary information regarding admission can be taken from the Reception.
  9. The following are the documents required to be submitted by the new students for completing the Admission procedure:
    • The attested copy of the date of birth certificate issued under RBD Act, 1969 according to the direction of the Registrar General of India (Population), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
    • The School Leaving Certificate from the school last attended by the candidate.
    • Attested Copy of the Aadhar Card.
    • Attested Copy of the Family ID.
    • Attested copy of the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Other Backward class of the father and the child issued by the appropriate authority for school record purpose only.
    • Date of Birth Certificate and name once registered will be altered.
    • Suitable supporting documentation indicating custody of the child, divorce papers/court order/death certificate etc. should be provided in case of Single Parent.

TRANSPORTATION

  1. Transportation of the children is not the responsibility of the school.
  2. The school neither owns any transport for the students not collects the transport fees.
  3. It is the responsibility of the parents/Guardians to make arrangements for the transportation of the children.
  4. Parents must directly deal with the bus/van transporters.
  5. The parents are advised to ensure that the vehicles in which their children come to the school strictly follow “The Safe School Vahan Scheme” according to the order of State High Court.
