A Seminar for the students was conducted on 5th December 2025 in the school auditorium of Christ Raja Convent School, Jind by Fr. Dr. Suresh Mathew, a well-known speaker and youth mentor. The session focused on current challenges faced by students and guided them towards building a disciplined, responsible, and value-based lifestyle.
Fr. Mathew began the seminar by addressing the growing addiction to mobile phones, especially the excessive use of Instagram, snapchat , online games, and other social media platforms. He explained how these platforms create distractions, reduce concentration levels, and affect both mental health and academic performance. He encouraged students to use technology wisely and to limit screen time for their overall well-being.
He also spoke strongly against the rising use of abusive and disrespectful language among children and teenagers. Highlighting how language reflects one’s character, he urged students to choose their words carefully. To reinforce this message, all students took an oath not to use abusive language and to maintain politeness and respect in their communication.
Fr. Mathew further discussed the importance of spending quality time with family. He reminded students that family is their biggest support system and that meaningful conversations at home help in emotional development and strengthening family bonds.
Another important part of the seminar was the emphasis on study focus and academic discipline. He suggested practical ways to improve concentration—such as setting a study routine, avoiding multitasking, and creating a distraction-free environment. He motivated students to take responsibility for their learning and to work consistently towards their goals.
The seminar concluded with an interactive session where students asked questions and shared their experiences. Overall, the session was highly informative, inspiring, and impactful. Students left the hall with renewed determination to lead a balanced, respectful, and focused life.
